What is Content Marketing?

Content marketing is the type of marketing built around creating and distributing valuable, interesting, relevant, and consistent content to attract new prospects.

Examples of content marketing range from infographics and blog posts to podcasts and videos and public speaking. The key word to take from the definition is "valuable".

Keep in mind that before a potential customer purchases your product, they need to become aware of the product's existence in the first place. A customer might have a problem, and they will look for a solution. 

For example, if you sell computer hardware and someone is looking for a new GPU, offer your prospects a detailed video reviewing the best available GPUs. Or, as an alternative, you could have an in-depth GPU comparison table on your online store.

Content marketing raises awareness about available solutions and educates consumers about a product they would not have considered before.
