What is Spam?

Email spam usually comes from businesses that use email blasts to reach as many potential leads without considering that a recipient’s email service provider will flag such emails and redirect them to a spam folder or just straight up block them.

Since blasting emails is cheap, businesses are unlikely to stop such practice even though it has poor overall results.

Some spam emails also have malicious intent. After opening an infected email or downloading an infected email attachment, a recipient might infect their device with malware or viruses.

As a rule of thumb, you should ignore any suspicious emails and leave them in the spam folder or delete them from the inbox.
