What is Subject Line?

Some marketers argue that email subject lines are the most important component of email. It is reasonable to think this way because a subject line is the first thing a recipient sees in their email inbox. 

A lackluster subject line is unlikely to compel a potential lead to open an email and see its contents. Meanwhile, a great subject line will encourage the recipient to check the email.

An email subject line should be short and straight to the point (consider mobile users who might not see a long line).

When writing the subject line, one can use multiple approaches, such as open-ended questions, deadlines, teasers, clear calls to action, or even jokes.

It is recommended to do some A/B testing and fine-tuning to determine what works for a marketer's targeted demographic.
